Launch of the exhibition featuring works by 25 artists from the JUNGE AKADEMIE, with an introduction by the curators, talks and performances with the fellows, and a welcome address by Akademie President Manos Tsangaris.

Fellows Claudia Durastanti and Logan February will speak at the opening of the exhibition “Vessel & Voyager”. Clara Herrmann (Head of JUNGE AKADEMIE) and Linnéa Meiners (Curatorial Fellow) will give an introduction to the show. Manos Tsangaris, President of the Akademie der Künste, will welcome guests. Fellows Khensani Jurczok-de Klerk, Hrishikesh Pawar, Sophie Seita and Josephine Macken will present performances in the exhibition halls.

“Vessel & Voyager” is the new exhibition project of the JUNGE AKADEMIE, the international and interdisciplinary fellowship programme of the Akademie der Künste. In the exhibition, 25 artists present new works that they developed during their residencies. They explore scope for artistic creation and action in times of diverse and escalating crises and deal with the themes of loss and memory, body and healing, protection and community. On display are photographs, prints, collages, video works, spatial and sound installations, sculptures, drawings and assemblages.
