This year as well, the Studio for Electroacoustic Music will be present at Superbooth from May 8–10, 2025, at the FEZ Berlin. Featuring historic synthesizers from the GDR, fascinating insights into the studio’s history, and a performance with Hermann Scherchen’s legendary "Nullstrahler."

The Studio for Electroacoustic Music presents a double concert with Carla Boregas and Zero Beam.

Carla Boregas is a Brazilian musician, composer, and sound artist. By blending synthetic and acoustic instrumentation and techniques, Boregas creates sonic scenarios where the perception of presence and discovery oscillates between density and delicacy. At Superbooth, she will present a piece using the Publison DHM89B2 processor/sampler from the Studio for Electroacoustic Music at the Akademie der Künste, along with the FB2000 keyboard, tape machine, and synthesizers.

Zero Beam is the duo of Malte Giesen and Andrei Cucu. Their improvisation—using turntable, modular synthesizer, laptop, and rotating speaker—interweaves found speech fragments with DSP-based laptop magic, diffused through the utopian perfect mono source: the Nullstrahler.
