Werner Düttmann Fellowship
Werner Düttmann designed the Akademie building on Hanseatenweg and was president of the Akademie der Künste (West) from 1971 to 1983. The transdisciplinary Werner Düttmann Fellowship – an artist-in-residence programme and work fellowship spanning all the different Sections at the Akademie – was made possible by his family. Since 2018, it has been awarded annually to promote the work of young international artists.

The selection process is conducted by a jury comprising Akademie members, JUNGE AKADEMIE staff, and the fellowship holder from the previous year. Applicants may not apply on their own initiative.
