Mit Jonathan Gray, Wesley Goatley, Nolan Oswald Dennis, Tamara Kneese, Anh-Linh Ngo, Tiara Roxanne, Jennifer Walshe, Helen Starr, Juno und Stipendiat*innen des Mensch-Maschine-Programms: Maithu Bùi, Victor Brim & Emerson Culurgioni, Thuy-Han Nguyen-Chi, Assem Hendawi, hn. lyonga and David Odiase, Sonya Isupova, Safiya Seedmother, Kira Xonorika

Während sich die KI weiterentwickelt, wächst und expandiert, vom Materiellen über das Industrielle bis hin zum Digitalen und darüber hinaus, bleiben ihre Auswirkungen auf Erde, Klima, die Menschheit und alle Lebewesen allzu oft unsichtbar. Für das diesjährige Mensch-Maschine-Symposium bilden Boden, Klang und Erinnerung Ausgangspunkte, zu alternativen Erzählungen und Vorstellungen von Technologie und Intelligenz in den Künsten zurück zu finden, die globale Perspektiven, Erfahrungen und Stimmen anerkennen.

Vor dem Hintergrund von ökologischer Trauer und Extraktivismus, Technologien der Natur und des Kosmos, Vibrationen der Erde und maschinellem Lernen diskutieren und erforschen Künstler*innen und Wissenschaftlerinnen neue Wege und Praktiken des Denkens, Handelns und Fühlens in Bezug auf die Schnittstelle von Technologie und Ökologie.

Das Symposium findet begleitend zur Gruppenausstellung „Mensch Maschine: Return to Earth“ statt.
