As a meeting point for Berlin’s international contemporary poetry and music scene, Vocations offers a stage for artists exploring a wide range of musical and vocal practices that are based on or deeply rooted in poetry. Vocations invites poets, musicians, and audiences alike to engage in creative exchange – whether on stage, over a drink between performances, or as a way to round off the evening.

Readings and performances take place in original language; English translations will be provided to the audience.

“Vocations – open space” is an event series organised by the Haus für Poesie in cooperation with the JUNGE AKADEMIE, silent green Kulturquartier, the DAAD Artists-in-Berlin Program, and Cultural Foundation Schloss Wiepersdorf and in 2025 is funded by the German Capital Culture Fund.
