Thomas Melle studied comparative literature and philosophy in Tübingen, Austin (Texas, US) and Berlin. He is the author of novels and plays, and a translator from English (William T. Vollmann, Ben Marcus, Christopher Isherwood). Narrative works: Raumforderung (2006), Sickster (2011), 3000 Euro (2014), Die Welt im Rücken (2016). His novels have been nominated for and won numerous awards and have been translated into over 20 languages.
In Rome, I will try to write my first original screenplay. It could be about ancient Rome, its rise and fall, but possibly set in the present day.
