Residency
Closely linked to value, consumption and market economies, waste is presented as an entry point into broader discrepancies and uncertainties of everyday life and socio-economic processes. In fact, its presence is so immediate that waste never disappears. It moves, it transforms, it travels, it comes back. This project explores the fluid status of waste. Its neither definitive nor permanent status encompasses, among other things, the global process of externalisation as well as material dependency from the perspective of marginalised groups.
