Listening Space:Atmospheres designed by raumlabor berlin

An international competition organized by the ZKM|Karlsruhe together with the Akademie der Künste invited artists to submit acousmatic compositions or miniatures on the theme of atmospheres. Submissions could include field recordings, and synthetic, concrete, as well as urban sounds. Under the guidelines artists were given great freedom to articulate their ideas on this theme. The works selected by the jury out of 61 international applications are presented to the public in the exhibition’s listening space – designed by raumlabor berlin (Jan Liesegang), and can also be heard in a further event organized by ZKM|Karlsruhe.
