Aleš Šteger, Slovenia’s best-known writer of his generation, has written a new novel. Neverend is socially critical and highly poetic, as one might expect from Šteger. The EU is in a global trade war, bananas are no longer available, elections are coming up in Slovenia, extremist parties are on the rise, and in the midst of this chaos a young writer is going through her very own crisis.
