A Soul for Europe. Towards A European Citizens’ Convention

Europe needs an emotional element that counteracts nationalist tendencies: Art and culture have this power, which strengthens the influence of citizens, overcomes political trenches and creates a transnational public sphere. Six weeks prior to the EU elections, the initiative “A Soul for Europe”, together with the Akademie der Künste and other partners, invite leading European politicians and artists to discuss the potential of art and culture for the European project, to forge alliances and to mobilise citizens.
