Two museums are part of the Akademie der Künste: the Brecht-Weigel Museum in Berlin-Mitte and the Anna Seghers Museum in Berlin-Adlershof. They offer visitors a chance to view the studies and homes of playwright and poet Bertolt Brecht, actress and theatre director Helene Weigel, and writer Anna Seghers.

The apartments, which have been preserved in their original state, convey impressions of the living circumstances, habits and working conditions of these three internationally significant artists and 20th-century personalities.
