Architectural reconstructions
Building the national house. Architecture as Identity Politics is the title of Philipp Oswalt's book, the publication of which the Architecture Section is using as an opportunity to organise an event on the role of architectural reconstructions as an instrument of identity politics.
The publisher’s announcement reads, “Oswalt discusses beyond one-sided perspectives, with a feel for the infiltration of reactionary interpretations of the past and ideologies underpinned by identity politics into contemporary urban planning.”
