European Alliance of Academies: The Politics of Emotions

Fear, envy, hatred—populist and radical right-wing governments are trying to influence public discourse and divide European societies through emotionally charged messages. A trend that has been reinforced by the Covid pandemic. The European Alliance of Academies explores the question of whether emotions can be a driving force for socio-political change and whether negative emotions are possibly the strongest incentives to move people to action. Public debate and workshops with artists from all over Europe along with local stakeholders.
