France is the guest of honour at the 2017 Frankfurt Book Fair. In the run-up to the event, the Institut Français and German partners are organising a series of literary encounters, each involving one German and two French authors. The Akademie is hosting Mathias Enard, winner of the Prix Goncourt whose recent novel Boussole (Compass) caused a literary sensation, and Marcel Beyer, the Büchner Prize winner. Mathias Enard has invited the young French author Alice Zeniter to join them for a discussion led by Gregor Dotzauer.
