Christoph Schlingensief, the son of a pharmacist, Super 8 experimenter, filmmaker, action artist, founder of the Church of Fear, theatre and opera director, attacked politics and the art establishment with his anarchic provocations. From numerous sources of footage, Bettina Böhler has assembled a compilation film of about 40 years of his work, which is also a reflection of German history: from the Kettensägenmassaker to Terror 2000 and Parsifal. The director always keeps Schlingensief as a human being, his self-irony and doubts in mind.
