New members of the Akademie der Künste

The Akademie der Künste has taken in 31 new members. The elections took place at the 62nd General Assembly (24 – 26 May 2024) in Berlin. All newly elected members have since accepted their election. The Akademie der Künste currently has 435 members in its six art sections. The following were admitted: Visual Arts Section: Alexandra Bircken, Klaus vom Bruch, Ursula Sax, Julia Scher, Thomas Struth; Architecture Section: Momoyo Kaijima, Jan Knippers, Marianne Mommsen, Philipp Oswalt, Xu Tiantian; Music Section: Anna Korsun; Literature Section: Lena Gorelik, Marion Poschmann, Yoko Tawada; Performing Arts Section: Aleksandar Denić, Katja Erfurth, Marcel Kohler, Falk Richter, Ilse Ritter, Dietmar Schwarz, Edgar Selge, Jette Steckel, Almut Zilcher; Film and Media Arts Section: Andreas Ammer, Peter Badel, Silke Fischer, Floros Floridis, Helgard Haug, Agnieszka Holland, Andreas Kleinert, Harf Zimmermann.
