Since 2002, the Visual Arts Section has awarded the Saarland Fellowship to artists for a working residency in Berlin of up to three months, annually until 2014 and biannually since 2016.
Based on recommendations from the Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar, a jury of Akademie members in the Visual Arts Section makes the final selection. Applicants may not apply on their own initiative.
