Konrad Wolf Prize
Named after the film director Konrad Wolf (1925–1982), who served as president of the Akademie der Künste in East Germany for many years, this award recognises outstanding artistic achievements in the performing arts or film and media arts. The prize is awarded annually, alternating between the two sections.

The selection is made by a jury composed of members of the respective section and experts. The award ceremony always takes place around 20 October, Konrad Wolf’s birthday.
The prize is endowed with 5,000 euros.
