The Anonymous Body
Julia Phillips (Artist, New York City, USA)
In this talk Julia Phillips will present her work from 2013 when she left Germany to now. She will contextualize her artistic development focusing on change of location, and her attraction to using the body as a metaphor for relations (physical, psychological, social). Her work consistently challenges normative perceptions of the Body and stands in close relationship to questions of gender, race and power.
