In Wellenfeld Audio plays in 3D

24 October 1924 marked the birth of the German-language audio play with the radio broadcast Zauberei auf dem Sender, a genuinely radiophonic live play. In keeping with the tradition of the art form’s avant-garde beginnings, the Berliner Hörspielfestival listens to the future 100 years on. In the TiME Lab at the Fraunhofer Heinrich Hertz Institute, audio plays will be presented in 3D audio, with sounds projected into the room using wave field synthesis.
