“Kultur – Koste es, was es wolle!”
(“Culture – No matter what it costs!”)
Given the global environmental and financial crises as well as rapid social and technological changes, what value do we Europeans really attach to our much lauded culture? The broadcaster ARTE sets out to find the answers: What value does culture have for each individual? Why is culture essential in a democratic society? What kind of culture do we need? How can we finance it? How do we want to live? Followed by a discussion with filmmaker and writer Reinhild Dettmer-Finke and psychoanalyst Karl-Josef Pazzini, Professor of Art and Education; presented and chaired by Sabine Rollberg, ARTE Representative and Managing Editor, WDR/ARTE
In cooperation with ARTE.
