Otto Dix – “An elementary event in art”
Archive Opening
The Akademie der Künste has taken possession of the work archive of its member Otto Dix (1891–1969), which centres on the catalogue raisonné conceived by the artist along with biographical documents. To mark this occasion, the Akademie Archive presents the documents, correspondence and catalogue raisonné of the painter’s oeuvre from across its entire collection, which go far beyond the existing estates of the Berlin art and cultural scene from the 1920s to the 1960s.
