Jürgen Schön's objects are abstract and arise out of pictorial-artistic transformation processes in which the sculptor intuitively creates forms by layering sheets of paper. The works, which are reduced in colour, do not follow any predetermined reference system. Schön's spatial objects appear light and sensual in their architectural surroundings. Through the reduction of colour and form and the abandonment of interpretative references, the viewer's perception is directed towards material objectivity. In his drawings, Schön examines forms that are centrally located on the sheet and are reminiscent of everyday objects.
