Bertolt Brecht on the occasion of his 125th birthday
Even though the playwright from Augsburg was not one of those people who explicitly celebrate their birthday, does that prevent us from remembering him? On the eve of the birthday, Dr. Fabian Leber (Federal Ministry of Finance) is presenting a special postage stamp and a special coin. Claudia Roth, Minister of State for Culture and Media, will deliver a greeting.
On this evening, the book Unsere Hoffnung heute ist die Krise (Our Hope Today is the Crisis), edited by Noah Willumsen, will be presented. It contains interviews with Brecht that were conducted between 1926 and 1956 and have not been reprinted since.
