“Clay–Stones–Shards.” The Material Sample Collection of Winfried Brenne

The collection of 12,000 material samples from modernist buildings that architect Winfried Brenne compiled is unique. Brenne talks to experts from various disciplines about the origins and the source value for building research, art technology, monument conservation and future building practice.
The samples, which consist mainly of plaste fragments, building components and samples of paint finishes, were collected from the late 1970s onwards. They were handed over to the Baukunstarchiv in April 2022.
