Melissa Blanco Borelli
Melissa Blanco Borelli lehrt am Drama, Theatre and Dance Department des Royal Holloway College der University of London. Sie ist Herausgeberin des Oxford Handbook of Dance and the Popular Screen (Oxford University Press, 2014) und Autorin von She Is Cuba: A Genealogy of the Mulata Body (Oxford University Press, 2015), das 2016 mit dem De La Torre Bueno-Preis der Society of Dance History Scholars für das beste Buch in den Tanzwissenschaften ausgezeichnet wurde. In ihren Forschungsarbeiten vereint sie ihr Interesse für Schwarze Kulturproduktion in der Diaspora, populären Tanz auf der Leinwand, in Film und Medien, feministische Geschichtsschreibung und kreatives afro-latinisches Schaffen.
