An Encounter with the Composer Juan Allende-Blin
The composer, music publicist, organiser of many concert events and an expert for music made in exile, Juan Allende-Blin, is giving his archive to the Akademie der Künste. His composition Tortur – Hommage à Jakob van Hoddis for baritone and a small ensemble will premiere. It was commissioned by the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency (ADB). Additional works in the concert are by Pavel Haas and Gerd Zacher. In conversation, Juan Allende-Blin will comment on his approach to music as well as his creative exchange with his life partner Gerd Zacher.
In cooperation with the Federal Anti-Discrimination Agency and part of the theme year for sexual diversity “Gleiches Recht für jede Liebe” (“Equal Rights for Every Kind of Love”).
