John Heartfield collected many things that survive in the Archives of the Akademie der Künste: silver spoons, iron pots, lids, porcelain plates, glasses, pans, ladles, a moon made of wood, stones, masks, birds, dragons, and much more.

During a workshop in November 2019, students learned about the artist's collages and got to know his collection. They made an imaginative animated film incorporating photomontage techniques.
