Adolf Behne – Agent of the Avant-Garde
Berlin art and architecture critic Adolf Behne (1885-1948) was one of the most important protagonists of the art and cultural scene of the Weimar Republic. He communicated modernism in its many forms to the public in numerous publications.
In three display cases in the foyer of the reading room, selected letters and documents offer an insight into his work and show Behne as an art historian, networker and friend of some of the important artists of his time.
